The Competitive Program at Arabesque Academy of Dance is for dancers who are interested in taking their dancing beyond the recreational level. Being on the Competitive Team requires a great amount of commitment and dedication, both in time and energy. Students who are new to Arabesque Academy of Dance will be required to do a brief audition/assessment. 

 

If students are already involved in a competitive sport, then joining the Competitive Team may not be the best fit for them, as scheduling conflicts often arise. Taking part on the Competitive Team requires taking part in extra rehearsals on evenings and weekends, travel to competitions outside of the city, as well as regular attendance in technique classes, and at rehearsals. The commitment is the same as what would be involved in other competitive sports/ activities.
